Missrepresent

Playing some of the nation's biggest club nights, including Valve (Brunel Rooms),  EQ Stratford (London), SE1 (London), Scala (London) and Raveology (Air Birmingham) just to name a few, this UK based Dj has also been rocking dancefloors worldwide. She has been on the tape packs and CD sets such as Global Energy Random Concept and her presence has been featured in many publications, including EGG, Hardstep Sistaz, KMAG, Dogsonacid, The BBC and various newspapers locally to as far abroad as Korea and Taiwan. All press documents can be found clicking here.

After winning the liquidfunk.co.uk mix competition and later also qualifying as a finalist in the Movement and Driveby Competition at Bristol Academy in 2004, Missrepresent started playing outside of her homeland. She went on to headline many more venues abroad to include The Wagon Club (Poland), Club Cube (Lodz Poland), Porto Play DnB (Portugal) and Lisbon (Portugal) with many return visits to each part of Germany.

2005 was a busy year for Missrep, focusing her efforts more on AftershockRadio. This year would also be the mark of Missrepresent's first international residency at Bambu in Northern Germany. ASR's entire roster would later travel alongside her residency in various feature spots. She has been the cover story of EGG Magazine, a music information source. To close out 2005, Missrepresent played on the Movement Tour as a resident at Brunels and would become the only female DJ to play on Dillinja and Lemon D's Valve Sound System so many times.

The following year would see a shift in attention to her monthly promotional events and 2006 took her abroad throughout Europe, playing many spots in Tenerife and Spain. She went on to secure more residencies across the UK. She also joined Urban Agency, where she was their first female artist to be added to their roster.

Six years after Missrepresent's initiation into the UK's drum 'n bass scene, she continued to advance to headliner status. 2007 presented her sixth set on the massive Valve Sound System, as well as her first feature in the UK's premier drum 'n bass magazine, Knowledge. Her repertoire ever-expanding, as she  took bookings for breakbeat sets and has held club nights in Leamington, Gloucester, and Coventry alongside Devotion. AfterShockRadio events expanded to other parts of Europe and the UK, including Germany, Mass Brixton London, Leeds, Cirencester and Cheltenham. Her crew would also support various second rooms at some of the country's biggest events - Valve Bedlam, Desire London, High Rollers Swindon, and co-promoting nights at The Mass nightclub in Brixton London and SE1. The year would take on an impressive end, bringing on more interviews with SoGlos, Gloucestershire's leading music resource, a Guest Residency on Radio Cardiff with DJ Kallista (with quarterly requests for live mixes and interviews) and her first headlining international New Year’s Eve gig, where she played to a packed 2,000 capacity crowd alongside Bad Company, Moving Fusion and Far Too Loud in Bremen, Germany, for Lifeline Promotions.

2008 was off to a great start and her website received a facelift, moving towards a more professional, flash-based appearance (instead of the previous forum-based formula), and ASR was expanding as she promoted a large venue in Coventry. She was supported by Fly53 Clothing (who also supports the likes of The Klaxons). Bookings included events for Bedlam @ Carling Academy Bristol as well as bookings abroad to Tenerife for a second time. Evilsound took her to Rome (in a massive 7,000 capacity outdoor event) and among her most notable accomplishments, Missrepresent was nominated at Raveology’s Drum & Bass Awards for Best Female Artist and Breakthrough DJ. Her little internet radio station AfterShockRadio was nominated for Best Internet Radio Station for the second year in a row. Professional support continues from labels in drum and bass while Missrepresent joined industry giant, Ecler/Ortofon as part of their Pro Team. She was booked to play at the world’s biggest drum ‘n bass festival, Innovation in the Sun, which took place near Barcelona and then went on to her first USA tour later in 2008 where she visited Chicago, new York, Denver and Reno.

Missrepresent2009 kick started with 25 upcoming bookings including charity events in Manchester, and a massive New years eve gig headlining in Germany with Skibadee. A shift took place with her managing her own diary full time, and 2 gigs in Taipei Taiwan and Seoul Korea for February. The summer shows her again playing for massive dance events, Global Energy Weekender with Random Concept, being invited to take part in judging the Dj and Mc finals for the RC Academy for the 2nd year in a row and she returned after a busy summer schedule in October for the 2nd year at BPM - Europes biggest DJ Performance show which is held at The National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham.

2012 went on with gigs supporting Pendulum in Worcester, headling dance festivals in Wales, headling parties in Slovakia and more. Check out the photo gallery here.

Having played accross the world her tours have taken her to countries like America, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Korea, La Palma, Poland, Portugal, Prague, Tenerife, Scotland, Spain, Slovakia, Taiwan and Wales as well as bookings for some of the most established promoters in the UK.

2011 moved forward with this brand new website and decided to put her National Diploma in Music Technology to good use, she teamed up with Dapz to form Silent Code
