HISTORY
Born in the mid 90s from a limited series t-shirt collection, FLY53 has grown into one of the most innovative street fashion labels in the UK. Fly53 produces the very best wearable and original garments. Staying true to its heritage, the brand continues to collaborate with musicians and artists, injecting integrity, creativity and quality into an increasingly bland corporate market.

OUTFITTERS FOR THE RESISTANCE
In 1994, tired of the rock and roll life performing with a plethora of rock leviathans (Whitesnake, Saxon, Stryper, Extreme Noise Terror, Septic Death, Gwar and The Field Mice), Captain Lenny ‘Wolfman’ Grubbs retreated to the wilds of Middle England. It was here that he became the driving inspiration for a gang of disaffected bumpkins.
In the grounds of Lenny’s country pile stood a collection of once grand but now dilapidated outbuildings that became known as the Wolf Sheds. Under the cover of the Wolfman’s post rock and roll blur the Sheds were soon squatted and became a hive of creative industry. Space to design, make and rehearse allowed a number of creative projects to flourish.
“Built in the House of Fly53” became the umbrella moniker for the creative output of the ‘Sheds’.

About Us
The company was formed in 1997 from a managment buy out of Ortofon UK and thus our knowledge in the area of HiFi and record reproduction is, perhaps, second to none.
We are now based in Didcot, Oxfordshire and have a dealer base of nearly 500 covering the UK and Eire. Our 15,000 sq Ft headquarters houses our internal Sales Team, Service Centre, Marketing Department and Distribution Facility. We pride our selves on offering an exceptionally high level of service. From pre purchase enquiry, technical assistance to delivery and, from time to time, warranty support. We hope that any dealings with Henley Designs will be a pleasurable experience.

Ortofon was founded in 1918 by two Danish engineers, Axel Petersen and Arnold Poulsen. These two pioneers had one very clear objective in mind - to put sound onto film, and with this, they established the Electrical Fonofilms Company A/S, which later on was renamed Ortofon A/S. A few years later, in the Palace Theatre, Copenhagen, they were able to present the first fully-synchronized sound films and in so doing, created a world sensation. Ortofon was also the first company to produce an outdoor sound film recording. The founders took out several patents and issued licences to film companies the world over for their "System Petersen og Poulsen", which is even to this day the basis for film with optical sound.

Regarding amplification products with the 2005 launched DPA and DPA-T series, ECLER created a new device with a main goal: to turn an ECLER amplifier into a complete audio solution under an easy of use interface. AMIC just arrived but the success of the product is still out there.
