Aliina Mayes and Dean Pratt aka Silent Code have been making their presence felt on drum and bass events over the world as DJs for the last ten years, but came together in August 2010 to work in the studio.

They immediately found thier efforts were making some energetic waves on the dancefloor. The first signed released track "Engaged" featured on the Viper Recordings Summer Slammers in 2011. This featured alongside artists such as Matrix and Futurebound, Nero, Tantrum Desire and many more. You can listen / purchase "Engaged" by clicking here.

They had over 900 downloads within a week of putting up 2 bootleg tunes, "Bang Bang Bang" and "I Need Your Loving." The tracks have featured on 1Xtra, Radio Cardiff, Inspiration FM and Kemett FM. They went on to produce a vocal led track with originally recorded vocals with The Ragga Twins (Dutty G. They invited the Twins up and "Dutty Gal" had a lot of support which they then followed up with an even more successful free download of "In Your Eyes" Featuring Johnny Osbourne.

The Dutty Gal track secured a rare vinyl release in 2011 with Physmatics Recordings as they were asked to remix it as a VIP through Prime Direct Distribution. Dutty Gal VIP Features The Ragga Twins with lively vocals, and on the B side more melodic vocals from Aliina on East Star. This was released 17th October 2011. It sold out in the first week at Blackmarket Records and many German Record stores.

"Tonight" Featuring G'd Up was signed to Flourish Records and 6 Millon Dollar Man was picked up by Dirt Lies and Audio who approaced them in January 2012.

Spellbound featuring original recorded vocals by Aliina is awaiting release dates with Viper Recordings, along with Sanctum and Don't Give Up featuring J Sonic Mc from The USA.

Seperately Dapz has been into music from an early age. At 13 he took up mixing and by 16 progressed onto writing his own music. He went to Leicester College to complete a course in Electronic Music & Recording and by 2004 Dapz completed a National Diploma in BTEC Level 3 Music Technology.

In 2005 he began working with MC $pyda, opening him up to a range of new ideas and a chance to further develop his skills in a studio enviornment.

This step into the music industry also led him to meet and collaborate with more estabished artists, recording vocals for the likes of Benny Page (The Burial), DJ Clipz (Pass it Around) and Futurebound & Matrix (Knightrider).

2007 was another sucessful year as music took him overseas to Germany to do live PAs with MC $pyda.

Dapz went on producing Garage and Bassline with Slipz to have an EP on Basslayerz and remixed "Tell Me You Love It" Featuring Blu Rum from The Usa. This was released on Passenger Records.

2009 was when the hit single Balaclava with Mc $pyda got released, and Dapz was recording vocals for Skepta. A number of releases on various other labels such as Subsonic Audio, Abstract VIP led onto a drum and bass EP which was made for Junction 11, which was passed to Missrepresent and the two joined up to make Silent Code.
